How is the course delivered: Face-to-face
Who is this course for?
To provide learners with the knowledge and expertise to qualify as a first aider in the workplace and anyone who is identified as the ‘appointed person’ for first aid in a relatively small or low risk workplace
What does the course include:
- Actions in an emergency
- Adult resuscitation & Automated Defibrillation (AED)
- The management of an unresponsive casualty
- The management of adult choking
- How to recognise & treat bleeding & shock
- The treatment of minor injuries
- Assessment
Level 2 Paediatric Basic First Aid
Course Duration: 3 hours
Certificate: Yearly
How is course delivered: Face-to face
What does the course include:
- Introduction to Paediatric First Aid
- The management of unresponsive infant or child
- The management of choking
- The treatment for minor injuries
- The management of seizures
- Provide an understanding of anaphylaxis, meningitis, diabetes, sickle cell & managing a sick child
Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Course Duration: 2 day
Certificate: 3 years
How is the course delivered: Face- to -Face
Who is this course for?
To provide learners with the knowledge and expertise to qualify as a paediatric first aider and anyone who is identified as the ‘appointed person’ for first aid in a child or infant setting
What does the course include?
- Actions in an emergency
- Infant and child resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- The management of the unresponsive casualty
- The management of infant and child choking
- How to recognise and treat bleeding and shock
- The treatment of minor injuries, burns and scalds and seizures
- The recognition and treatment of anaphylaxis and anaphylactic shock
